WillowBridge Center is moving from Cambridge to Isanti

We are excited to announce that WillowBridge Center is moving to Isanti. They will be filling a large vacant building along highway 65. This has been in the works for months but we could not release the information until everything was finalized. WillowBridge Center has exciting plans for the future and the City of Isanti is excited to play our part in those plans. I have included their press release below.

Progress in the City of Isanti

Progress in the City of Isanti

Before we won the Mayor’s office and moved Isanti to a Long Term Financial Plan and fiscal stability, Isanti had the highest tax rate in Isanti County. Today we have the lowest tax rate of the three cities. Braham’s tax rate is 100% of their total tax capacity, Cambridge is 92% and Isanti is 72%. The 2015 budget proposal I have made keeps that rate flat. We continue to grow our Community and service level while being fiscally responsibly.

Our water rates are cheaper than Cambridge …

Official City of Isanti Mayor’s Primary Results

George Wimmer — 189 — 51.08%

Sue Larson ——— 125 — 33.78%

Scott Elliot ———– 56 — 15.14%

I want to thank all of our supporters. Without your dedication we could not have won. This is only the first step to final victory in November. There are over 2,700 registered voters in the City of Isanti. Only 370 or 13.6% of them voted today. In a general election we can expect at least 1,900 to vote or 70%. We must continue to get our message out to the voters and ensure we …

Tuesday we Decide who makes it to November

Tuesday we Decide who makes it to November

The City of Isanti is a shining beacon of success, as we emerge from the Great Recession. Our Nation suffered through the worst economic time since the Great Depression.  Our State continues to pass unfunded mandates and adopt new regulations, which adversely affect the community; while our County has relinquished economic development responsibilities solely to the cities.

The City of Isanti has led the state in innovative economic development, recreational expansion, foreclosure management, and groundbreaking fiscal policy. As our Country and State are suffering under staggering …

Jeff Duncan Endorses Mayor Wimmer for Reelection

Jeff Duncan Endorses Mayor Wimmer for Reelection

Under the strong financial leadership of Mayor Wimmer, Isanti has reduced it’s debt per capita from $2,500 to $485, and improved the cities bond rating from A to AA, and restructured the city budget to insulate the citizens from the unpredictable state funding changes. I fully support his strong financial leadership and believe it needs to continue.”

Brett Ortler Endorses Mayor Wimmer for Reelection

The first time I met Mayor Wimmer, he helped dig me out of a snowbank. My wife and I were relatively new in town, having just moved here, and we didn’t know what to think about the political climate in town because our family’s politics differ somewhat from the wider community at large.

Despite those differences, we soon learned that Mayor Wimmer is a capable mayor and a fine leader. Over the five years that we’ve lived here, we’ve seen Isanti prosper under his leadership, and …

Scott Elliot is breaking the law just like Sue Larson

Mr. Elliot has his signs on property without permission. Apparently we can add not knowing how to campaign legally to his long list of things he does not understand. Just because I have a sign some place does not mean he can place his signs there as well. I have permission from every property owner to place my signs.

Why do my opponents have to keep cheating in order to get votes … No one is above the law and it is very troubling that both …

Brian Jones Endorses Mayor Wimmer for Reelection

I want a hard working leader that tells me the facts even if I don’t agree or don’t want to hear it. I also want open communication. George exemplifies those traits and in turn has created a greater City of Isanti.
